A private trust is formed when an individual conveys to another party the management of all or part of their property. As trustees, persons that manage a trust have ultimate responsibility for the preservation and appropriate deployment of the trust's assets. Trustees are also responsible for ensuring that invested assets of a trust are productive and managed appropriately given the trust's objectives. Consequently, trustees clearly qualify as Investment Stewards and are welcomed as members of IFLC.
